Bible Memory

At FCS, we believe that biblical literacy is paramount to our mission and place a priority of weekly Bible memory verses. Memorizing God's Word helps to saturate our hearts with His truth which deepens our relationship with God and gives us the means to both avoid temptation and share our faith with others. Not only is it important to memorize God's Word, it is equally important to understand the core teachings and beliefs within the Bible to know not just what you believe but why you believe it.

Pairing basic Biblical doctrine with key verses enables the students to not only "hide" God's word in their hearts but helps them to also learn those basic doctrinal beliefs that will help them to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God.

Each week, students in 3rd-12th grades will be given a doctrinal question to which they will learn and memorize the answer [according to scripture] and a supporting Bible verse. The students will be quizzed each week on their memorization which will count as a grade in Bible class.
